Franchise Times, which bases the ranking on the previous year’s performance, said the personal services sector – which includes beauty and wellness brands – continued to perform very well in 2022, with overall sales of $24.6 billion, up 19.1%.

2022 was a record-breaking year for WellBiz Brands, which reported nearly $600 million in systemwide sales, awarded nearly 150 franchise licenses and opened locations in 20 new markets across the United States.

The Franchise Times Top 400 is an annual ranking of the 400 largest U.S. franchise systems by global systemwide sales.
